Mt. Brasso Estate is
located in the small, quiet village of Brasso Seco
in the Northern Range. This area is a noted birdwatching
and nature retreat offering a variety of exciting
hiking trails, rivers, waterfalls and the scenic
Caribbean coastline.
The village is a small isolated
community, about an hour and half drive from
Waterville. The villagers are of mixed Amerindian
descent and many live off the land. The 15
acre Estate has a river running through it
which if followed takes you to a beautiful
private waterfall. The amenities are basic
but charming. A large ‘copper’
formerly used for distilling sugar cane juice
in the production of rum is now used as a
plunge pool.
